Supplier Quality Engineer

Role and Purpose within the Organization:

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring suitability of incoming material through developing and maintaining supplier evaluation processes, reviewing supplier adequacy and capability to meet FlowBelow requirements, communicating to suppliers regarding performance trends, verification/validation of corrective actions, and other activities necessary to support FlowBelow Operations, Quality and Engineering teams. The SQE will coordinate with cross-departmental teams to ensure supplier performance activities are effective in meeting sales, delivery, quality and financial goals.

Required Qualifications for Job Function:

  • Any combination of 4-year degree and 4 years technical experience in the areas of supply chain/manufacturing operations, 2-year technical degree and 5 years technical experience, or 7 years technical experience
  • Experience with metal manufacturing processes
  • Experience with thermoformed and injection molded processes
  • Experience with Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Requirements is preferred
  • Successful experience in an ISO-regulated environment is preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of PPAP and APQP processes
  • Can read, understand, and verify bills of material (BOMs), assembly drawings, engineering tolerances, and other technical information
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts and methodologies
  • Ability to evaluate data, resulting in corrective and preventive actions
  • Effective communicator, problem solver, and self-starter; works well in a team environment
  • Must have excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to use Windows-based computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to use web-based ERP systems


Supplier Quality Support Activities:

  • Reviews customer feedback data and drives corrective action activities associated with part/process improvement
  • Defines First Article acceptance criteria and ongoing Receiving Inspection criteria with assistance from the Quality team
  • Establishes PPAP requirements and maintains incoming/outgoing PPAP documentation
  • Oversees documentation of non-conforming material, supplier corrective actions, and works with suppliers to define root cause and verify effectiveness of actions taken
  • Develops and implements critical destructive & non-destructive quality assurance testing practices (weld evaluation, coating adhesion, torque verification, etc.)
  • Performs onsite supplier evaluations and reviews supplier’s processes against FlowBelow supplier quality standards
  • Makes recommendations to management regarding supplier selection
  • Supports FlowBelow Total Quality Manager with issue containment, resolution, and accountability


  • Identifies improvement opportunities through root cause analysis and implements corrective action
  • Coordinates with the Total Quality Manager regarding training needs, metrics and performance
  • Assists the Engineering and Quality teams in implementing change orders

Vice President of National Accounts

In light of recent growth, we are seeking a highly talented and experienced sales professional that is capable of rapidly generating new business with some of the largest trucking fleets in the nation. Previous national account management experience in the trucking industry is required.

Job Description:

  • Highly targeted sales of FlowBelow’s unique fuel-saving aerodynamic technology to large trucking fleets.
  • Meet with fleet owners and fleet maintenance executives to secure commitments to retrofit existing trucks or order the company’s products on new equipment.
  • Assist with strategically transitioning major regions from direct sales to dealer sales by triangulating relationships between the company, the dealer, and the customer
  • Manage Dealer Rewards Programs to motivate and incentivize dealers to sell the company’s product
  • Deliver live presentations and webinars to dealer principles and new truck sales managers
  • Enter and manage account information on a daily basis using the Company’s CRM system
  • Extensive travel to customer offices, dealer events, tradeshows and conferences on behalf of the Company.
  • Assist with other duties related to sales and marketing as requested


  • Successful track-record of exceeding quotas within an assigned territory of 5-10 states
  • Expertise in direct sales and pull-through dealer sales strategies
  • Extensive technical knowledge of class 8 trucks
  • Experience selling a differentiated or disruptive product or technology to business owners
  • Experience selling equipment within the trucking industry, in particular to business owners, maintenance managers, and dealers
  • Experience in selling products that require the ability to sell a value proposition to the customer using tools such as ROI calculators
  • Willing to travel 75% of the time
  • Able to work remotely with discipline and organization – We are looking for someone who is a self-starter

Vice President Of Operations

Job Summary

FlowBelow Aero, Inc. is seeking an Operations executive with experience at a Tier 1 supplier to the heavy truck, trailer, or automotive industry. This position will assume overall management responsibility for Operations which includes purchasing, supply chain, production, fulfillment, business systems, and continuous improvement. Relocation to Austin, Texas is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work to ensure total customer satisfaction for OEM and aftermarket customers
  • Work closely with Sales and Engineering to improve existing business with OEM customers
  • Work closely with Finance, Quality, and Engineering on projects such as IATF certification and on becoming a tier 1 supplier to additional truck and trailer OEM
  • Negotiate long term agreements with major component suppliers
  • Provide input to executive management in the areas of long-term planning, strategic direction, operational planning and budgetary requirements
  • Track operational KPIs to improve safety, quality, on-time delivery, and costs
  • Quickly react to requested design changes from internal and external Engineering groups
  • Leverage the effectiveness of existing processes; drive improvements in those processes, and utilize lean systems and tools in order to effect overall throughput improvements
  • Commitment to corporate-wide continuous improvement
  • Establish processes and procedures that ensure effective and efficient inventory utilization and that optimize production resources
  • Oversee continued improvements in the company’s ERP system and related processes
  • Direct the sourcing and applicable procurement processes to effectively drive cost improvements
  • Lead and direct the effort to continually drive down logistics cost to customers and to and from suppliers
  • Develop and manage supplier agreements, including terms to hold suppliers accountable for schedule and quality

  • 10+ years of experience in an operations and/or supply chain management role
  • 5+ years of experience working in the heavy truck, trailer or automotive industry, preferably with experience supplying to multiple OEMs
  • Knowledge of heavy truck industry
  • Well-versed in modern manufacturing philosophy (LEAN)
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing methods used by FlowBelow and its suppliers (injection molding, thermoforming, metal stamping and fabrication, etc.)
  • Experience with design and implementation of IATF/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 management systems is a plus
