Director of Dealer Programs

Job Description:

  • Manage and continue to build the company’s dealer network by establishing new dealers and dealer groups
  • Work closely with contacts at the OEM level to pursue highly effective co-marketing programs
  • Responsibility for recruiting and managing up to five direct reports
  • Manage rebate and spiff programs to motivate and incentivize dealers to sell
  • Systematically transition major regions from direct sales to dealer sales by triangulating relationships between the company, the dealer, and the customer
  • Meet with fleet owners and fleet maintenance executives to help obtain commitments from trucking fleets to order our products from their dealer
  • Negotiate contracts with major class 8 truck and trailer dealer groups such as Rush Enterprises
  • Deliver live presentations, training sessions, and webinars to dealer principles, parts managers, and new truck sales managers
  • Manage sales blitz and marketing campaigns targeted toward dealers
  • Travel to customer offices, dealer events, tradeshows and conferences on behalf of the company

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of business to business sales and sales management experience
  • Experience in establishing and developing dealerships to increase sales
  • Proven ability to deliver technical sales presentations that influence all levels of the organization
  • Successful track-record of exceeding quotas
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience selling a differentiated or disruptive product or technology to business owners
  • Experience selling equipment within the trucking industry, in particular to business owners and maintenance managers
  • Knowledge of the trucking industry, and mechanical features of semi-trucks in particular
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial start-up environment
